Since the inaugural event on April 26, 2012 at Cambrian’s eDome, the TEDxYouth@NickelCity Team in Sudbury has been working diligently on the post event reports; processing a ton of pictures onto flicker and editing hours of video footage (thanks to Jeff at the eDome for his awesome skills), to uploading our TEDx Talks to the TEDxYouth – YouTube channel, and completing surveys, you name it…but all the hard work has paid off!
The good news was finally received and we passed the rigorous test of our first TEDx event license. “OUR LICENSE HAS BEEN RENEWED FOR 2013.”
That’s right a second event is now being planned for next spring/summer now that the local TEDx Team has one successful event under their belts… Sudbury can expect that the next event will be even more inspiring than the first!
So this is what is in the works, we will be posting and recruiting for a TEDx Coordinator for 2013 (if funding is approved) and our Curator, Suzanne Shawbonquit will be doing a call out to assemble the TEDx Team for 2013. We will be looking for volunteers who are passionate about “ideas worth spreading” for our community and the innovative potential this platform provides to spark the imagination. Plus there are specific skill sets that are absolutely deemed essential for pulling this event together – so if you have the time, the talent and creativity to join the organizing team, keep an eye out for information on the TEDxYouth@NickelCity Website www.tedxyouthnickelcity.com.
Speaking of the website, thanks to some wicked sponsors like the BUREAU for coding and designing the TEDxYouth@Nickelcity website. However, it will soon go through many changes and transformations. Keep checking in for an exciting, inspiring new look and feel as the website goes through a complete revamp to compliment the excitement and inspirations of the next TEDxYouth@NickelCity Event for 2013
